To Note

It is normal to see a black soot formation upon burning. This is completely removable with a wet cloth / tissue. 

To avoid as well, you can ensure to trim the wick regularly. 

Basic Candle Safety Guidelines 

Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.

Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.  Avoid drafts, vents or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning, sooting.

When you light your candle for the first time, always allow the wax to burn so that it melts across the entire surface to the edge of the container. This will prevent tunneling and create an even burn.

Keep wicks centered and trimmed up to 3mm long (wood wick) Trim wicks before each burn. This will encourage a more even burn, steady flame.

Never leave a burning candle unattended or lit while sleeping. Never touch or move a burning candle. 

Avoid burning candles for more than 2 - 4 hours. Allow the candle to cool for 2 hours before relighting.

Monitor the amount of remaining wax in a candle container. Once the wax falls below 1cm, discontinue use. This will help prevent heat damage to the container.

Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This will always help protect it from discoloration and fading.

If you accidentally spill candle wax, ensure that you let it harden so it can be easily removed in pieces.

Be careful when touching the Jar as it will be hot. Proceed to do with caution.
